Coronavirus (Covid-19) – November Business Update

Following Boris Johnson’s announcement of a second lockdown in England commencing Thursday 5th of November, we thought we’d take a minute to remind you that Hitchcock & King is still very much OPEN for business!

The government has announced builders merchants as an essential service and alongside the fact that both construction is still fully operational and tradespeople are still allowed to enter and work in residential properties, we have taken the decision to stay trading during this difficult time to help support our new and existing customers. We would, however, like to take a moment to highlight some of the precautions we are taking in-store which you can find listed below.

The safety of our employees and customers is our top priority. So, we would like to keep everyone informed of how we are following the latest government advice in order to help stop the spread of the virus, as well as reducing the pressure on the NHS.

Our operations are strictly observing social and physical distancing guidelines and all other PHE and government guidelines. In practice, this means restricting the number of customers at any one time in our branches, usually to one or two at a time. Customers are also welcome to arrange an order by phone and we will, where possible, get your order ready for collection and so reduce your time onsite.

About Us

If any employee develops symptoms of Covid-19, they will be following government guidelines and self-isolating, ensuring they do not come into contact with fellow staff or customers.

We hope that all of our valued customers are managing to stay safe and healthy, and trust that you will take the necessary precautions if showing symptoms. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
