Delivery

Q: Do you charge for delivery?

A: Yes. We charge £12 plus VAT for goods under £120.00, and £6 plus VAT for goods over £120.00. We are able to track all of our vehicles thanks to satellite technology, meaning we can stay updated with the progress of all our deliveries.

Q: Will I be contacted before delivery?

A: Yes. Our team will deliver to you at a pre-agreed time, but if you should wish to be notified about the delivery beforehand, please feel free to ask our delivery team.

Q: Will the delivery driver carry the goods inside my property?

A: Due to the size and weight of the materials being delivered, as well as the size of our vehicles, we deliver our goods kerbside, but do what we can to make things as easy as possible at the drivers discretion.

Q: Do Hitchcock & King provide the delivery service?

A: Yes, we have a fleet of over 20 delivery vehicles ready to deliver to your location. 

Q: My product/s has arrived damaged?

If any of your products should arrive faulty or damaged, please contact us to arrange for a return.

Q: How long does delivery take?

We pride ourselves on our fast, reliable delivery. Delivery time will vary depending on when your order is placed. Most orders will be delivered the next day, but we can also deliver the very same day if the order is placed early enough.

Q: Do you offer timber cutting on-site?

A: Yes. All of our branches offer an on-site timber cutting service (except for Burgh Heath) which can be cut to your exact specifications.

Q. Do you list all products on your website?

Payment

Q: Can I open a trade account?

A: Yes. We provide a builders merchant trade account which can save customers time during the ordering process, offering extra efficiency and convenience. Our staff can open a trade credit account with a pre-agreed limit, subject to references and credit card checks to ensure you are eligible. Call our sales team on 020 8012 8032 for a quick, friendly service, or visit our Trade Zone for more options.

Q: Can I get a VAT receipt?

A: Yes, all of our branches provide VAT receipts.

Q: Which cards do you accept?

A: We accept Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, Delta, Switch, Solo & Amex.

Q: Can’t see what you’re looking for?

A: There is no need to worry, as we stock an extensive range of timber and building materials. Simply ring 020 8012 8032 to find out exactly what we have in stock.

Q: Do you supply to the public?

A: Yes. We welcome DIY as well as trade, and are happy to provide our goods and services to the public

Q: Can I order online?

A: No, you can’t order directly via the website. Instead, call us to discuss your requirements and we’ll provide the best offer for what you need. If you’re happy, we can go ahead and place the order over the phone.

Q: What is the process after I've placed my order?

A: Your order will be delivered by Hitchcock & King’s very own delivery service. We’ll contact you on the day of delivery to give you a delivery window and ensure someone will be in to receive the items.

Q: What days do you open?

A: Our branches are open Monday-Saturday. Visit a branch page on our website for specific opening hours.
