Assistant Transport Mgr – Ashford Middlesex – 23/08/2018

As an Assistant Transport Manager, you will be jointly responsible for overseeing a fleet of vehicles and Drivers within our Ashford depot.

Taking a hands-on stance, you’ll oversee the loading and unloading of vehicles in a prompt and efficient manner to ensure the smooth running of the transport operations.

You’ll co-ordinate your team of Drivers, schedule customer deliveries and ensure that all materials are delivered in a timely fashion to maximise customer satisfaction.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

– Hands-on management experience gained within a timber and builders merchant environment

As the Assistant Transport Manager, you must have excellent communication, planning and leadership skills, as well as a decisive and driven approach.

On the job training may be available as required (such as forklift traning) and further oppotunities may be available to prospective applicants.
